Peace

Went to Holly's yesterday to check my email and found an email saying i had an interview for Foundation the day before... arghhhhhhh thank god i've spoken to Jeanette so hopefully that will be happening next week, but seriously i had the biggest panick attack ever i thought i was going to suffocate. Then i went back home and felt very lonely so got my mom to come pick me up so i could spend the night at home, my original home, it all gets a bit confusing. Woke up this morning and seriously contemplated becoming a hippie, i've been mulling over it for a while now and i think i could really do the whole fighting for a cause and protesting to free animals, plus i am getting a little addicted to recycling and now have an empty bin bag in my bin as everything is in plastic recycling boxes. Anyway off to vintage!

Independance

Finally moved into my new house. Holly stayed with me last night, and it was brilliant watching boosh till half four in the morning, bit tired now though so gonna have a little nap (:

FMP

My FMP is following the life of my grandad, and interpreting emotions through texture, whilst looking at the clothes worn by him and others around him during his youth (1940's- 60's) to create a four piece women's collection. alot of the images are outdoors, so i'm currently looking at natural things for inspiration for fabric, and the clothes are all relaxed shirts and ditsy prin tea dresses so i'm looking at designers and clothes from A.p.c, Lacoste and tods etc.

it's bin a while

update... hope everyone had a good christmas, can't wait till newyears eve hope everyone's gonna get very drunk and see the new year in well. I just realised today only have two more shifts left at work, schuh Bullring, so come and see me tomorow and sunday. x

Ian Curtis

For those of you who don't already know i am a massive fan of Joy division, and think Ian Curtis was a lyrical genius, so i was so happy today when i found this book about Ian Curtis' life written by his wife Deborah Curtis, selling for just £2.99. So of course i bought it, though my mom's going to be very annoyed that i'm spending money, but i just had to and i'm really getting into it, It's like reading a much more personal and detailed version of the film Control, which is also amazing (: I'm basicall just a bit obssesed aha, but i really recomend it to any Ian Curtis fans, or anyone infact., it's called Touching from a distance, Ian Curtis and Joy Division by Deborah Curtis.

Between the Wars

We recieved the overview of our second second year project yesterday, and i am so excited about it, man i'm a geek, but it just sounds so amazing and it's all about all the things I love.

Were basically looking at the decades inbetween the two world wars, 1920's and 30's, concentrating on Art deco patterns and fashions and Raf cosford. I can't wait to start designing. Flapper girls at the ready (:

Garage sale

My mates always telling me i look so different everyday, and that i must have a million items of clothing, so i wasn't suprised that when she was set a brief, to do a fashion photoshoot exploring a wide range of different clothing and sub-cultures, she was straight on the phone to me...

So after a lot of persuading, we decided to do a shoot in my room, completely natural, of all the different outfits i can create with my wardrobe. I found 50. As you can imagine it was a long long, long day but worth it in the end and so much fun, my mom thought i was selling all my clothes. We basically just chilled out and had fun dressing up and acting like idiots.

so of course, because i am so nice i thought i'd show you the chosen photographs she has decided to use for her work.
